Senior Marketing Consultant/Research Analyst

Having joined Sage Age in 2005 as a Senior Consultant and Research Analyst, Malissa’s marketing background in consumer housing and senior living, supported by her marketing-concentrated MBA, has allowed her to bring a high level of expertise to Sage Age.

Malissa is primarily responsible for completing pre-market research and market demand analyses. Malissa’s expertise in detailed pre-market research, such as focus groups and like efforts, helps to guide the development of future marketing messages to make these efforts as effective as possible.

Additionally, Malissa is responsible for leading all market demand analysis efforts, as well as completing mystery shops and competitor analyses of the marketplace - functions that are all essential to making appropriate recommendations for new business development and expansion. Malissa also assists with the development, creation and implementation of strategic marketing proposals and plans.

In the seven years since Malissa has become a part of the Sage Age team, she has been the primary or secondary consultant on nearly 50 successful new development and campus expansion market feasibility studies, competitive market analysis and market assessment projects, and campus master planning and focus group efforts.

Malissa’s organizational and communication skills also allow her to be very effective as a project manager at Sage Age. Malissa prides herself in developing strong relationships with Sage Age client partners and is in continuous contact with the client from the beginning of a project to the end, ensuring that the client remains involved in all necessary aspects of the project.

Malissa graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications Management from Juniata College. She then went on to receive her MBA from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a 3.59 GPA while maintaining duties as a graduate research assistant in the marketing department.
